On the evening of June 1st, the "Silk Rhyme Jiangnan" event of the 5th China Suzhou Jiangnan Culture and Arts International Tourism Festival and the closing ceremony of the 2023 Shengze Fashion Week took place. At this event, the collaboration between "NEWEAR EXPLORE" and Xingfengqiang·Aili Sports was unveiled. This showcased not only the technological prowess of Shengze's fabric industry but also highlighted the commitment and actions of modern fashion professionals toward environmental protection and sustainability.
Suzhou Xingfengqiang Textile Technology Co., Ltd. is a comprehensive technology enterprise offering integrated services including design, R&D, production, and sales. The company focuses on the innovative and intelligent manufacturing of functional fabrics. Guided by the principles of fashion, comfort, technology, health, smart wear, and sustainable development, it serves numerous domestic and international outdoor brands, with clients spanning across China, the U.S., Japan, Germany, Finland, the Czech Republic, and beyond.
Tongyi Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., with two decades of experience, specializes in fashion and outdoor clothing design and production. Their brand ARIX upholds its founding mission of caring for life and protecting wildlife, advocating for the preservation of the environment we depend on. The company strives to be a promoter, practitioner, and communicator of green, eco-friendly, and low-carbon initiatives. Sustainability is essential for future growth, and through technological innovation and environmental protection, the garments they produce safeguard both individuals and our shared home—the Earth.
At this press conference, Xingfengqiang collaborated with renowned designers Li Zehua and Jin Jiaqi under ARIX to explore new styles and trends in the new era with the theme "NEWEAR EXPLORE." Having bid farewell to the pandemic and returned to normalcy, people are not only accelerating their work pace but are also prioritizing personal needs. They seek comfort and self-expression through mood-enhancing products and personalized attire. Designers draw inspiration from eclectic sources, blending elements of this era while balancing fast-paced living with slower, more mindful lifestyles.
Li Zehua, founder of Shanghai Lumuxi Design Consulting Co., Ltd. and a designer for China’s six national ski competitions, shared his design philosophy: “We aim to combine current thermal insulation concepts with the innovative features of Xingfengqiang’s new fabrics to cater to the evolving demands of today’s consumers.â€
During this edition of Shengze Fashion Week, Xingfengqiang presented several cutting-edge fabrics, including Magic line tech, single splash and single suction, leather-like materials, lightweight down fabrics, outdoor functional textiles, sub-zero lint-free intelligent inflatable temperature-regulating clothing, and quilt-free series. Notably, the Magic line tech magic shrink fabric is smooth, slightly slimming, and flows elegantly, naturally creating a textured appearance. It offers water-repellent, velvety, wrinkle-resistant, and elastic functionalities. The leather-like fabric feels luxurious yet soft, providing windproof, waterproof, breathable, and moisture-wicking benefits while being durable and abrasion-resistant. Sub-zero lint-free intelligent inflatable temperature-regulating clothing adjusts temperatures, keeps you warm, moisture-free, lightweight, and portable.
“This is our second participation in Shengze Fashion Week,†stated Wang Fangming, General Manager of Xingfengqiang. “Environmental protection is a key focus this season. For instance, the no-lint sub-zero fabric reduces reliance on down materials, thereby decreasing gas and wastewater emissions. Peel Era uses eco-friendly ecological materials without harming animals or applying harmful chemicals. Additionally, we offer products from yarns to finished garments with zero wastewater discharge.â€
Jin Jiaqi, a lecturer at Soochow University’s School of Art and manager of the stable core design, echoed similar sentiments regarding sustainable fashion: “Designers must base their work on existing materials. The advent of eco-friendly materials presents both challenges and inspirations. I prioritize environmental concerns and communicate this message through material choices and structural designs that minimize waste.â€
In other fashion highlights, this season’s trends include pairing down jackets with shark pants and dad shoes for fall and winter, styling jeans with small leather shoes for autumn, showcasing the charm of sheepskin hats, opting for trousers and loafers instead of sneakers, embracing comfortable yet stylish spring footwear, adding a touch of Klein Blue to office wear, appreciating the elegance of OR.Kart, and exploring Jianyi women’s casual yet trendy outfits.
