Guangdong, Fujian and other southern cotton yarn market is active

The domestic cotton yarn market was partially active in recent days, and cotton yarn prices have not shown signs of declining significantly. Thanks to the seasonal uplift of the textile market, the demand for apparel fabrics, luggage fabrics and accessories in the southern markets such as Guangdong and Fujian has been updated rapidly. In addition, the southern China market has seen more frequent yarn shows and fabrics exhibitions during the April-May period, and the market activity has increased. The arrival of cotton yarns was quicker, and the transactions were mainly concentrated in 40-60 yarns, of which 32 large combed ring companies sold goods at 28,000 yuan/ton, and 40 combed ring stocks sold at 29,000 yuan/ton.

Regarding imported yarns, on April 28, the domestic yarn supply volume was at a medium level, the prices remained stable at high levels, and there was no significant increase or decrease in the volume of shipments since last week. According to the Ningbo-Hong Kong trader, the price of tax-included pick-ups for the top-grade ring-spun carded A-grade 21 India-imported pure cotton yarns was 22,000-22,400 yuan per ton, and the delivery price for 32 yarns was 24,400-24,500 yuan per ton. It was the same as last week.

21 imported yarns are very popular in Jiangsu and Zhejiang and are mainly used in textile denim fabrics. Some port traders have reported that it is expected that the duration of the supplemental inventory can be maintained for 2-3 weeks, and the high-end quotation will fall back to RMB 100-300/t, with the mainstream market quotation stabilizing.

China's main port imports of yarn inventory is still about 75,000 tons, the basic balance of production and sales at this stage, is expected this week, the import yarn market volume may have a seasonal decline, but the decline will not be too large. At the same time, imported yarn prices are affected by low inventory levels. The price drop is more difficult, and stable performance will be the main factor.

The focus of recent large-scale textile enterprises focuses on the Canton Fair and Yarn Show in Guangdong, Shenzhen, etc. Although the local goods take a turn for the better, the export market and the domestic sales environment of the textile market are not optimistic. It is difficult for the small-scale recovery to effectively revitalize the entire market. Affected by the decline in the nation's cotton planting area and the declining cotton prices in the Mainland, textile companies are concerned about the “failure to eat” in the later period, which in turn affects business operations and increases panic.
