In recent years, when the inspection and quarantine bureau of Shaoxing conducted inspection and supervision of export clothing, it repeatedly found that the clothing logo was inconsistent with the actual composition of the fabric. In the unqualified export garments from January to September of this year, the ingredient labeling did not correspond to actual accounted for 23.7%, and the polyester content in one batch marked the deviation from the actual content by 25.1, which was far beyond the allowable range. The inspection and quarantine department promptly ordered the company to conduct rework, dismantled and replaced the correct logo, and urged it to promptly change the relevant contents of the contract to avoid export returns.

According to the investigation and analysis, there are mainly reasons for the inconsistency between clothing ingredient identification and actual conditions: First, some garment processing companies are not aware of the risk, and blindly believe that the ingredient labels provided by the fabric suppliers do not test and verify the fiber components of the fabric in time; In order to reduce costs, some companies use some blended fabrics to identify themselves arbitrarily through the appearance of components that are not easily discernible. Third, some of them are lax in management of apparel logos, and are misidentified or unstandardized.

In this regard, the inspection and quarantine department reminded related companies to: First, to master domestic and foreign technical regulations, strictly in accordance with the requirements of exporting countries to organize production, and further regulate the export of clothing composition identification. The second is to raise awareness of product risks. Component identification is the basic information on the quality of textiles and garments. It is related to the company's reputation and consumers and the right to information. If it fails to pass the tests in the importing country, it may be returned. The third is to strengthen the inspection of components. For multi-fiber component blended products that are subject to excessive errors, a qualified laboratory should be entrusted with the inspection and fabric component identifications should be produced based on the inspection results. Fourth, the procurement of raw materials should be closed, should try to choose a good degree of integrity, textile fabric suppliers, especially the recent rise in cotton prices, but also pay attention to shoddy phenomenon.
