### Project Details
I’ve had my eye on the Belgravia Knit Dress ever since it came out. It’s both elegant and comfortable, making it perfect for office wear. When I stumbled upon a gorgeous burgundy-colored ponte di Roma fabric at my local store, Dům látek, I knew it would be ideal for this dress.
For this version, I went with **View B**, added ties that wrap around the waist, shortened the sleeves to three-quarter length, and incorporated the slit from **View A**. At the time, my measurements were 38 ½ inches bust, 32 ¼ inches waist, and 42 ½ inches hips. Based on those numbers, I chose size 12, grading up to size 14 at the hips. While my waist is slightly larger than the size 12 measurement, there’s enough room in the pattern to accommodate that difference without issue.

After cutting the pieces, I realized the shoulders were a bit wide and there was extra fabric above my waist at the back. This suggested I needed both a narrow shoulder adjustment and a swayback adjustment—two changes I usually make but somehow overlooked before cutting. To fix it, I took in the shoulder seams by about 5/8 inch and trimmed ¾ inch off the bottom of the back bodice piece, tapering toward the sides.

### Fabric Performance
The ponte di Roma fabric was a fantastic choice. Its medium weight meant the dress wasn’t overly clingy while still draping beautifully. The pleats formed at the bust and waist looked amazing after tying the dress, thanks to the fabric’s flow.

### Sewing Experience
The instructions were clear and easy to follow, making the sewing process smooth and enjoyable.

### Favorite Part
I absolutely love the ties—they’re seamlessly integrated into the front bodice pattern, adding visual interest during construction. Once tied, they create a flattering fit around the bust and waist. I’m already planning another version of this pattern, perhaps even turning it into a top next time.
