Shandong Gaomi City Becomes China's Footwear Production Base

On September 15, the fourth expanded meeting of the sixth council of the China Leather Association was held at the Hongqiao Hotel in Shanghai. Jia Qinqing said that as the rising shoe production base in China, the shoe-making industry in Gaomi City is now entering a new round of adjustment period with the core of upgrading and creating brands.

Recently, the fourth expanded meeting of the sixth council of the China Leather Association was held at the Hongqiao Hotel in Shanghai. At the meeting, Jia Qinqing, deputy mayor of Gaomi City, Shandong Province, accepted the "China Footwear Production Base? Gao Mi" award and gave a speech.

Jia Qinqing said that as the rising shoe production base in China, the shoe-making industry in Gaomi City is now entering a new round of adjustment period with the core of upgrading and creating brands. Faced with new opportunities and challenges, the Gaomi Municipal Party Committee, the municipal government, and the city’s shoemaking enterprises are and will continue to work hard, especially in the implementation of brand strategy, environmental protection and improvement of labor conditions, increase in product technology content, and improvement of design level. As well as the improvement of management skills, we have taken various effective measures to ensure the sustainable development of the entire footwear industry.

It is understood that as of now, the China Leather Association has signed a joint construction agreement with ten special regional governments.
