ICE cotton no change

The Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) cotton futures were little changed on Tuesday as cotton prices bought the mills after the slump last week, helping the cotton futures market to end the decline last week, but the dollar surged and put pressure on the cotton market.

"The market has fallen to a low level, and it may have attracted some buying," said JobeMoss, an MCMInc broker. He added that the stronger dollar has curbed the futures market's gains.

The ICE July cotton futures contract rose 0.01 cents to 63.31 cents per pound and traded between 63.27-64.66 cents.

** Total market volume increased by 3,530 lots to 26,509 lots. The data showed that the open interest on the previous trading day increased by 1,555 lots to 188,827 contracts.

The dollar index rose 1.34%. The CRB index fell 1.70%.
